CanDo’s Napa Valley Give!Guide Makes it Easy.

In November there’s an extra reason to open your issue of Marketplace Magazine. Tucked inside you’ll find your personal copy of CanDo’s 2018 Napa Valley Give!Guide. It’s an invitation for you to learn about and support 46 remarkable Napa County nonprofits that help make our communities stronger, healthier and more vibrant all year long.

Since its launch in 2013, CanDo’s Give!Guide has raised over $1.4 million in funds and increased awareness for dozens of local nonprofits providing essential services in seven categories: Animals, Arts and Culture, Community, Education, Environment, Health and Wellness, Youth and Seniors. This is a collaborative effort involving outreach by each of the nonprofits. It’s orchestrated by the all-volunteer Napa Valley CanDo which takes no fee for the project.

November 1 through December 31, the Give!Guide makes available a color catalog and user-friendly website. Together, they empower you to put your generous intentions into action. Tax-deductible donations start at $10, the price of a movie or a coffee and sweet roll, but you may give as much as you like and vary the amount for each organization. Not only that, every donor receives a certificate good for gifts during January 2019 provided by generous local businesses: Anette’s Chocolates, Ritual Coffee Roasters, Tannery Bend Brewery, Napa Valley Art Supplies, The Forge – Napa, and Napa Valley Distillery. And twice a week, on Big Give Days, a total of five incentive gifts worth $100 each or more go to donors drawn at random.

None of this would be possible without the generous financial support of our “Give!Guide Guardians”: Napa Valley Vintners, Terra Firma Global Partners, Mechanics Bank, City of Napa and Napa Recycling and Waste Service, Del Sur Mortgage and Napa Valley Marketplace Magazine, true community partners.

Whether you’re a young or first-time donor, a regular benefactor or someone of any age who may not yet see yourself as being in a position to give, Napa Valley CanDo’s Give!Guide makes it clear: You have the power to make a real difference right here at home.
