The Napa Valley Art Association awarded scholarships to several local high school and college students who each received $1,000 to further their art education.
Winning students were selected by their art teachers based on talent and their commitment to pursuing art education at the college level.
Napa Valley Art Association members and the Board of Directors met to celebrate the impressive talent of six young artists. Each student presented their work and discussed their process, style and medium before receiving a check for $1,000 to continue their art education.
The Art Association supports and encourages artists and creative expression, and the $6,000 scholarship fund was provided through art sold at gallery exhibitions and member support from the Napa Valley Art Association.
